Capturing movement, energy, and story through film

Vertical Content

Reels

When creating a reel, one has to make sure that the content is short, easy, accessible, and of intrigue for the viewer. When the mornings start very early and dark, it is important to make sure that the lighting and saturation all stay the same throughout the video. This event is called a "Sip & Rip" where the community drinks coffee and surfs together in the morning. The coffee (and food) is donated, so it is critical to highlight the brand that donates the coffee, especially for social media collaboration and exposure.

Animation

First Light Surf Club is dedicated to building community and highlighting the diverse professions and perspectives that surfing brings together. As part of their content series, I created an animated introduction inspired by the club’s coffee-and-surf culture. The animation features coffee beans jumping from a cup and spilling across the screen, creating a seamless transition that was used throughout Early Shift to introduce segments and reinforce the brand’s visual identity.

Beyond the motion graphics, I also assisted with filming and editing Early Shift, a short film that captures the community, routines, and lifestyle surrounding First Light Surf Club. The animation helped tie the film together visually while creating a recognizable and engaging visual element throughout the project. You can view the film here.

Victory Farms Andalusians

This project focused on creating a recap video for an annual fall festival that brings together local vendors to showcase and sell their products and services while raising funds for an organization that provides housing and support for single mothers. With little existing promotional content available, the goal was to produce a video that could both thank attendees through the event mailing list and serve as a promotional piece for future festivals.

While shorter-form content is often more effective for digital marketing, the client prioritized showcasing as many attendees, vendors, and activities as possible so participants could see themselves featured and be more likely to share the video. The final edit balanced storytelling, community engagement, and event highlights, creating a memorable recap that celebrates the festival’s impact while encouraging future attendance and support.
