PRESERVATION POSTER
Environmental degradation continues to be a pressing issue, with human activity significantly impacting nature for future generations. Many individuals may not recognize their role in preserving the environment, making it essential to create compelling visual messages that raise awareness.
PROBLEM:
This project aimed to promote environmental responsibility through a striking poster and GIF. A unique symbol was designed to convey nature preservation, with careful attention to emphasis, hierarchy, and scale for clarity. This process deepened the understanding of visual storytelling, highlighting design’s role in communicating sustainability and environmental stewardship.
SOLUTION:
BEGINNING STAGES
The icon focused on conveying humanity’s impact on nature and future generations, featuring two hands that represent the responsibility and influence people have on the environment. Various color combinations were explored, leading to the realization that a rounded bottom and a simplified, texture-free version created a more visually cohesive and refined appearance.

After finalizing the symbol's color, the poster was developed around it. Initially, a lot of information was included to identify key elements, but balancing clarity and legibility from a distance proved challenging. To improve contrast, different shades of green were incorporated.
A GIF was created in Adobe Photoshop using the timeline and frame tools, illustrating the hand’s impact on nature by showing branches growing from it. Adhering to the project's three-color limit, the GIF displayed the three main colors, along with their varying shades.
