PURPOSE JOURNEY

Plant with Purpose, a Christian non-profit, is dedicated to combating poverty, advancing reforestation, and fostering spiritual renewal in other countries through locally led initiatives. As many supporters cannot travel to witness the transformation firsthand, they wanted something to increase engagement and understanding of the organization’s holistic mission.

PROBLEM:

The Virtual Vision Trip, an interactive board game that brings these experiences into group settings, was created. The graphics were made to make sure the game authentically represented the unique identity of each country while maintaining brand cohesion.

SOLUTION:

BEGINNING STAGES

Since the branding needed to closely resemble the Plant with Purpose logo, the design retained the signature shovel element while incorporating a stamp-like style. Attention then shifted to the leader guide, which served as the instruction manual. Initially, the color scheme closely followed the organization’s branding, but the design evolved to fully embrace the essence of Oaxaca. To highlight the location’s authenticity, the designs prioritized showcasing local photography.

These were designed to hang up, featuring QR codes that link to the website. On this, it shows 360-degree interactive videos, allowing users to explore and fully immerse themselves in Oaxaca.

A recipe booklet features a mix of simple, complex, and dessert recipes, each accompanied by photos for a cohesive and visually appealing presentation.

A Spotify card, providing a quick overview of the playlist, was created to display songs and artists. This card showcased the vibrant colors of Oaxaca and a QR code for access to the playlist.

As the people are going through the journey, a passport and stamps were created to ensure they hit all of the activities and get maximum enjoyment and understanding from the journey.

A leader guide was developed to assist program leaders, offering an overview and step-by-step instructions to ensure smooth execution.

This is at the Plant with Purpose Gala, which celebrated 50 years as an organization. It captured the essence of the company and photographing it was key.
