PROBLEM:

To bridge this gap, Plant with Purpose developed the Virtual Vision Trip, an interactive board game that brings these experiences into group settings. This innovative solution allows supporters to engage with the organization’s work in a meaningful way their communities.

SOLUTION:

BEGINNING STAGES

The process began with exploring and considering all thoughts that came to mind when thinking about SDSU, the PSFA college, architecture, open studios, and related concepts. The idea of showcasing different tools emerged as a way to represent the diverse mediums that artists would be displaying. Additionally, the concept of students being "in Bloom" resonated, especially since most were graduate students. A photoshoot was conducted featuring various art tools and flowers, capturing them from different angles—hanging, close-up, farther away, on a cutting mat, and a regular table.

The designs were refined by adding drawn elements to highlight the tools rather than just a floral arrangement. Experimenting with composition, different placements for tools and text were explored. After selecting the strongest poster, they ensured all required elements were included before moving on to directional signage.

Once the signage was finalized, a postcard and an Instagram carousel post were made to maximize engagement. The three-slide post captured attention, provided information, and encouraged action. For the postcard, the front was made to be visually appealing and have more of the placed details on the back, using muted light blue for the drawn tools to maintain readability.
